UCI Scientific Dive and Boating Safety

Overview

The UCI Scientific Dive & Boat Safety Program coordinates safety support, logistics, and training for UCI researchers and students. The program is overseen by the UC Enterprise Dive and Boat Safety Program which is hosted at UC Santa Barbara.

The program meets all federal (OSHA), state (Cal/OSHA) and UC codes and requirements as well as the standards set forth by the American Academy of Underwater Sciences (AAUS), US Coast Guard, the California Department of Boating and Waterways, and the Scientific Boating Safety Association (SBSA).
