To our campus partners:

The Excessive Heat Watch will be in effect from TODAY, Monday, June 16, through Tuesday, June 17, 2025, as the outdoor high temperature is forecasted to be 80 degrees and above Fahrenheit for Irvine. If you or your staff will be working outdoors during this period, please implement the procedures listed in the Work Planning and Site Checklist. You will need to implement the “High Heat” procedures when the outdoor temperature reaches 95 degrees Fahrenheit.

The Excessive Heat Watch will be in effect from Friday, May 9, through Saturday, May 10, 2025, as the outdoor high temperature is forecasted to be 80 degrees and above Fahrenheit for Irvine. If you or your staff will be working outdoors during this period, please implement the procedures listed in th Work Planning and Site Checklist. You will need to implement the “High Heat” procedures when the outdoor temperature reaches 95 degrees Fahrenheit.

Please make sure that you and your staff are aware of the UCI heat illness prevention procedures. Stay hydrated and observe and follow best practices for preventing heat illness. Also remember that new staff must be closely observed by a supervisor or designee for the first 14 days of the employee's employment.

The Environmental Health & Safety Office will continue to monitor for warm weather and share any accompanying heat advisories shared by the Orange County Health Care Agency.
